Roughcast Finish

Roughcast is, as it suggests in the name, a rough finished surface used on external walls.  It consists of cement, lime, sand and small pebbles/gravel.  The roughcast is mixed together and thrown on the external walls with a paddle or a harling trowel. The finish should be of an even spread free from any lumps and ridges providing a consistent even surface.

The roughcast mixture can be machine mixed using Portland cement products or pre bagged types can be used manufactured by K Rend with a large variety of colours to choose from.
